NI Cyber Supports launch of the Department for the Economy’s Careers Occupational Information Unit bulletin on Cyber Security.

Our Chair Simon Whittaker was on hand on Monday 10th November to help Minister for the Economy Dr Caoimhe Archibald launch the Department for the Economy Careers Service Cyber Security Information Bulletin.

The bulletin aims to raise awareness of the wide range of career paths available in the sector, from technical roles to emerging opportunities in governance, policy, and threat intelligence.

Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald said: “With the north emerging as a global cyber security hub, the demand for skilled professionals continues to rise. From digital forensics to network security, cyber security offers good jobs across a diverse range of roles and strong career growth.  This bulletin is a valuable resource to help people explore the exciting opportunities available in the sector and understand the local pathways into these rewarding careers.”

Simon Whittaker, Chair of the Northern Ireland Cyber Security cluster, added:  “The Cyber Security sector will continue to expand rapidly globally over the next 5–10 years. In Northern Ireland, we are uniquely positioned to be part of this pattern of growth. Building on our strong collaboration between industry and education is vital to ensuring that skills pipelines align with emerging needs.”
